Overview of Pre-Arrival Support Measures 

The government of Canada introduced additional pre-arrival services for foreign nationals arriving in the country. The government will take the following steps as a result:   

  • Investing nearly $6.5 million towards the Immigration Services Association of Nova Scotia. The organization offers programs such as employment preparation and family-related services.  
  • Further investment is being dedicated to the Collège La Cité and Colleges and Institutes Canada. The institution offers online and in-person services abroad for newcomers prior to their arrival in Canada, including pre-arrival services for Francophone newcomers, and soft skill development and employment counseling.  

What are the Changes to Pre-Arrival Support Measures? 

The government of Canada introduced additional pre-arrival services for foreign nationals arriving in the country. The services aim to provide newcomers with additional information and support throughout their time in Canada.
