Overview of the STEM Express Entry Draw
The government of Canada conducted its first draw for health-care-related workers and skilled foreign nationals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) applying under the country’s Express Entry stream. As a result, a round of new category-based invitations was sent to eligible applicants on 28 July 2023.
The government will conduct a second round of Express Entry draw invitations on 5 July 2023. For further information on the number of invitations sent out by occupation, check here.
What are the Changes to Express Entry?
The Canadian government conducted its first Express Entry draw for healthcare and STEM-related positions. The government had previously expanded the stream to include additional prospective applicants with specific skills, training or language abilities that can benefit the Canadian economy.
