Overview  

The government of Brazil announced that it will issue nationality certificates to Brazilian citizens located in Portugal under a new digital system.  

Brazilian nationals are not required to attend an in-person consulate office meeting in Portugal to obtain a new nationality certificate.  

Certificates contain a QR code that the Portuguese authorities will validate.

What are the Changes?  

 The government of Brazil introduced new measures for Brazilian nationals to obtain citizenship while located in Portugal.
