- Migrant workers holding an ARC card must hold valid re-entry permits.
- Non-ARC holders or Chinese nationals (ROC) can enter Taiwan under a visa-exemption scheme.
- Nationals of Hong Kong or Macau holding valid Alien Residence Certificates (ARC) are permitted to enter the country for all purposes.
- Holders of entry/exit permits or temporary entry permits to ROC are permitted entry into Taiwan.
