Overview
The United Kingdom (UK) government will increase fees for legalizing public documents beginning 1 January 2024. Legalized documents are needed in many international transactions, including overseas working visas. These changes will include the following:
Service | Current fee up to 31 December 2023 | New fee from 1 January 2024 |
Standard service in the UK (plus postal costs) | £30 | £45 |
Standard (Next-Day) | £30 | £40 |
Digital e-Apostille | £30 | £35 |
Urgent service in the UK | £75 | £100 |
Overseas service (in addition to indirect costs, if any) | £30 | £40 |
According to the government, consular office fees may also increase at the discretion of officials within each location.
