Overview
The authorities of Taiwan will launch a trial “conditional online application for passport renewal” service starting on 3 September 2024 to enhance passport renewal convenience. Eligible applicants can use a “Natural Person Certificate” to apply for a new passport online from home.
After completing the online payment, they can pick up their new passport in person at the Consular Affairs Bureau or other authorities’ offices 14 working days later, bringing their national ID card and receipt.
