Overview  

The government of Bulgaria simplified measures for third-country nationals working in a highly skilled profession. As a result, in order to qualify for employment in Bulgaria, a foreign national must: 

• Possess an official document verifying a minimum of five years of professional experience at a level equivalent to higher education in the relevant sector or position specified in their employment contract; or 
• Hold at least five years of specific professional experience, skills, qualifications or knowledge relevant to the position being filled.
