Canada: Clarification of Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permits

  • Canada clarified the number of study years required for graduates of master’s degree programs applying for a post-graduation work permit  

Overview  

The government of Canada introduced changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) on 15 February 2024. Under these changes, graduates of master’s degree programs are eligible for a three-year PGWP even if the program’s study length is less than two years.
