Overview
The government of Canada and the government of Iceland launched a new Youth Mobility Arrangement on 4 August 2023. Under the agreement, Canadian and Icelandic youth aged 18 to 30 are permitted to work and travel to each other’s country through the International Experience Canada or Icelandic equivalent.
The agreement permits a maximum period of stay of up to 12 months, with a 12 month extension possible.
What are the Changes?
The Canadian government and the Icelandic government will launch a joint youth mobility agreement in 2024. According to the announcement, these measures will increase diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
