Canada: International Experience Class Automation Tool
Key Points
- Canada will expand the use of automation technology throughout the International Experience Class work permit application process
Overview
The government of Canada will expand the use of automation technology throughout the International Experience Class (IEC) work permit application process. The tool will be used to perform some repetitive tasks related to the sorting of applications prior to review by IRCC officers.
Applications whose eligibility is not approved automatically can still be manually approved following review by an officer. Only an IRCC officer can refuse an application; the automated tool does not refuse or recommend refusing applications.
What are the Changes?
The government of Canada will introduce a new automation tool throughout aspects of the IEC application process. According to the government announcement, the tool will improve the speed of decisions.
