Overview
The Canadian government introduced temporary instructions to facilitate the permanent residence visa application process for Colombian, Haitian and Venezuelan nationals. As a result, certain Colombian, Haitian, and Venezuelan nationals who have family in Canada and are Canadian citizens or permanent residents will be permitted to apply for permanent residence in the country. Applications under this temporary public policy must be submitted online using the Permanent Residence Portal. Check here for additional information on eligibility requirements.
