The government of Canada plans to speed up the accreditation process for internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHP). This includes:
- Providing additional funding to 15 organizations across Canada responsible for the recognition of foreign credentials for IEHPs.
- Introduce virtual exam options for applicants outside of Canada.
According to the announcement, these measures will allow additional foreign nationals to receive credential recognition in Canada to fill labor shortages within the country.
