Overview  

The government of Canada is focused on supporting key sectors and providing pathways to permanent residence for skilled workers. As a result, the government announced an agreement with the Government of Yukon to help up to 215 temporary workers become permanent residents. 

These workers will receive new permits to continue working while their applications are processed under the Yukon Nominee Program, with expected transitions to permanent residence in 2025 and 2026.
