Chile/U.S.: Visa Waiver Program

Overview 

The government of Chile signed a visa waivered program agreement with the U.S. on 31 July 2023. Under the program, Chilean citizens holding valid passports can enter the U.S. for tourism, business and purposes of up to 90 days. However, eligible individuals must hold a valid electronic travel authorization, which remains valid for a period of two years.  

What are the Changes?  

The Chilean government signed a reciprocal visa waiver agreement with the U.S. at the end of July 2023. According to the announcement, these measures demonstrate positive diplomatic relations between the two countries.
