China: Reduced Tourism Application Requirements for U.S. Nationals

  • China reduced tourism visa application requirements for nationals of the U.S. on 1 January 2024 

Overview  

On 1 January 2024, the government of China reduced certain application requirements for U.S. nationals traveling to the country for tourism. As a result, applicants will no longer be required to submit proof of round-trip air tickets, hotel reservations, an invitation letter or a travel itinerary.
