China: Shanghai Issuing E-Visa

Overview  

The government of China’s exit-entry authorities in Shanghai will begin issuing e-visas for tourism, business, and work purposes. The e-visa will grant single entry and remain valid for 15 days after issuance. The maximum period of stay is 30 days. The visa will permit travelers to enter Shangia via an entry point and exit through any open port.  

According to the government, these measures will optimize the country’s visa system and improve efficiency and service.
