China/Soloman Islands Introduce Visa Exemption Agreement

Overview  

China introduced a new reciprocal visa-exemption agreement with the Solomon Islands on 28 December 2024. Under the agreement, citizens with valid Chinese or Solomon Islands ordinary passports can enter, leave, or transit the other country visa-free for up to 30 days per stay and 90 days total within 180 days. Travelers must obtain a visa to stay longer than 30 days or to engage in work or study activities.
