Greece: Updated Certificate of Receipt Procedures

  • Greece updated its process for issuing certificates of receipt to third-country nationals applying for long-term residence 

Overview  

The government of Greece announced changes to the notification process for electronic filing of documents for third-country nationals applying for long-term residence permits. These measures will include: 

  • Proof of submission will be sent to the email registered with the filing application, including all data and documents registered in the initial residence permit application;  
  • The applicant will receive an electronic copy of the document within 40 days of submission. The electronic copy will serve as proof of confirmation of a “certificate receipt.”  

What are the Changes?  

The government of Greece updated its process for issuing certificates of receipt to third-country nationals applying for long-term residence. Previously, the certificate of receipt was sent to the applicant at the time of the original application.
