Ireland Introduces Bridging Permission for English Language Students

Ireland Announces Temporary Bridging Visa for English Language Students
Ireland’s Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) will provide short-term Stamp 2 bridging permissions to students transitioning from English Language courses to Higher Education Programmes starting by October 2025.
Eligible students must have completed their second or third English Language course, adhered to residence conditions, and fully enrolled in an eligible Higher Education Programme on the Interim List of Eligible Providers (ILEP). Bridging permission applications are processed via ISD’s online portal.
The bridging permission is valid until 30 September 2025 and is fee-exempt for recent course completers (after 1 July 2025). Applications open from 1 May to 31 August 2025.
