The government of Ireland introduced an online option for submitting citizenship applications. Currently, the platform is available for adult applicants and will be expanded to include minors in future updates. 

The online Citizenship application service will allow potential new Irish citizens to complete their application form, upload necessary supporting documentation and pay fees online, making the application process easier and more efficient in the digital age. The paper-based application will remain available to those who cannot access an online service.

What are the Changes?  

The Irish government opened a new online portal for foreign nationals to submit citizenship applications. According to the government, this new process will streamline the application process for foreign nationals.
