Latvia: Changes to the Conditions for Residence Permits

  •  Latvia introduced changes to its temporary and permanent residence permit condition  

Overview   

On 2 May 2023, the government of Latvia introduced changes to its temporary and permanent residence permit conditions. As a result, temporary residence permits will be granted for a period of five years to family members of a foreign national who hold a permanent residence permit and have completed an A2 language program in the country. These measures will enter into force on 1 July 2023.    

What are the Changes?    

The government of Latvia introduced changes to permissions of stay for family members of temporary residence permit holders.
