New Zealand Adjusts International Student Visa Allocation
Key Points
- New Zealand is changing how they allocate international student visa applications to improve flexibility and efficiency during peak summer processing
INZ Prioritizes Visa Applications for Students Changing Courses or Providers
New Zealand is changing how international student visa applications from students within the country are allocated to enhance flexibility and efficiency during the peak summer processing period. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) will now prioritize applications from students who are in New Zealand and applying for a second or subsequent visa with a new provider or for a different course. This is because students must have their new study conditions approved before they can begin their new course.
The government advised that an application’s initial allocation does not guarantee it will be decided first.
