Overview
The government of Norway will close its embassy office in Kampala, Uganda and its consulate general office in Guangzhou, China, beginning in 2024. At the same time, embassy offices in select locations will receive additional staff support. Starting in 2024, the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing and the General Consulate in Shanghai will be responsible for tasks currently carried out by the Consulate General in Guangzhou.

The government of Norway will close two diplomatic missions and reallocate funds and staff to nearby locations beginning in 2024.
