Oman: Requirement for Wage Protection System Registration

  • Oman will require small businesses and micro businesses to register employees in the Wage Protection System within the next 50 days  

Overview  

The Oman government will require small companies and micro companies to register in the Wages Protection System (WPS) within the next two months. WPS is an electronic salary distribution system where salary payments are made through an approved bank or financial institution. Larger and medium-sized companies were previously required to register.
