Portugal: Family Reunification Platform Improvements
Key Points
- Portugal expanded the online family reunification application option for parents with children aged 0 through 18
Overview
The Portuguese government announced that the family reunification platform has expanded its age range. As of October, the platform now includes minors from 0 to 18 years, previously only available for children aged 5 to 10. Foreign national parents with minor children who are legal residents of Portugal can register and schedule appointments through the Agency for Integration, Migration, and Asylum (AIMA) portal.
It is essential to note that this process applies only if the primary parent already possesses an issued Residence Permit.
