Overview
The Portuguese government plans to replace the Immigration and Border Service (SEF) with a new government agency called the Portuguese Agency for Minorities, Migration, and Asylum (APMMA). The new agency will merge the services of SEF with those of the High Commission for Migration (ACM). The APMMA will handle migrant integration, providing information on documents, job opportunities, language learning and other public services.
What are the Changes?
The Portuguese government will replace the SEF with a new agency, APMMA, merging SEF with ACM. APMMA will handle all migration-related efforts that were previously managed under SEF.
