Saudi Arabia Requires 30 Days Validity for Exit Visa Applications
Key Points
- Saudi Arabia now requires residents applying for an exit visa to have at least 30 days of validity on their permit
Exit Visa Application Changes
Saudi Arabia now requires residents applying for an exit visa to have a permit with at least 30 days of validity. Previously, residents could apply until the last day of their permit validity. Foreign nationals should renew the permit first if it has less than 30 days remaining. This rule does not apply to premium resident permits.
The exit visa will match the remaining period if the permit’s validity is between 30 and 60 days. For permits valid for 60 days or more, the exit visa will last for 60 days. These changes mean foreign nationals must depart before their permit expires, preventing them from staying without a valid work permit.
