State Department Issues July 2024 Visa Bulletin

• DOS has issued the July 2024 Visa Bulletin      

• USCIS will use the Final Action Dates chart     

• Both advancement and retrogression will occur in employment-based categories   

NOTE:  U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will use the Final Action Dates chart for the July 2024 Visa Bulletin. Please check the USCIS website  for more information.      

Overview        

The Department of State (DOS) has released the July 2024 Visa Bulletin.  USCIS will use the Final Action Dates chart for employment-based categories.  The updates below reflect changes in employment-based categories compared to last month.          

What are the Changes?        

In July 2024, there is advancement in most employment-based categories compared to the June 2024 Visa Bulletin, which also used the Final Action Dates chart.   

EB-1           

China will move ahead two months to Nov. 1, 2022, and India will move ahead by 11 months to Feb. 1, 2022. All other countries will remain current.   

EB-2       

China will move ahead one month to Mar. 1, 2020, and India will move ahead two months to June 15, 2012. All other countries will move ahead two months to March 15, 2023.   

EB-3             

China will stay the same. India will advance by one month to Sept. 22, 2012. All other countries will retrogress by nearly one year to Dec. 1, 2021.
