Taiwan Nomad Visa Overview
On 2 January 2025, Taiwan introduced a new visa program tailored for digital nomads. This visa allows foreign nationals to live and work remotely from Taiwan for up to six months.
Eligibility:
- Open to visa-exempt nationals.
- Individuals holding digital nomad visas from other countries intend to work remotely in Taiwan.
- Individuals aged 30 or above with an annual income of at least US$40,000 in one of the last two years.
- Individuals aged 20 to 29 with an annual income of at least US$20,000 in one of the last two years.
Key Features:
- Visa validity: Up to six months.
- Direct visa issuance by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for those with previous digital nomad visas from other countries, bypassing the Ministry of the Interior’s review.
