Taiwan: New Health Requirements for Certain Visa Applicants

  • Taiwan introduced new vaccination requirements for visa applicants from Afghanistan, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo 

Overview 

The authorities of Taiwan introduced new visa requirements for certain travelers. As a result, all visa applicants traveling from Afghanistan, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan, Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to provide proof of vaccination with oral active attenuated poliovirus vaccine (OPV) or inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) within the past four weeks to one year.  

This includes residents of the local countries and those who have stayed there in the past year or travelers who have been in the countries for more than four weeks.
