  • The Netherlands will cease the issuances of investor residence permits beginning 1 January 2024 

Overview  

The government of the Netherlands will cease the issuance of investor residence permits beginning 1 January 2024. Current residence permits issued to investors will remain valid until their original expiration date. This pathway is not eligible for extensions. 

What are the Changes?  

The Dutch government will close its residence permit pathway for investors beginning in 2024. This pathway was originally introduced as part of the government’s efforts to grow the county’s economy.
