The Philippines: Expansion of eTravel System for Departure

  • The Philippines will replace paper-based departure cards with the eTravel system beginning 1 May 2023 

Overview  

The government of the Philippines will discontinue the use of paper-based departure cards beginning 1 May 2023. As a replacement, the government will expand the use of the eTravel system. Through the eTravel system, travelers will be able to log in online and complete all departure information prior to boarding. The eTravel website may be accessed at etravel.gov.ph and is free of charge. 

What are the Changes?  

The government of the Philippines will phase out the use of paper-based departure cards effective 1 May 2023. According to the government announcement, these measures aim to lessen departure requirements for travelers.
