U.S. Welcomes Israel into Visa Waiver Program

The U.S. government has announced that citizens and nationals of Israel will soon be eligible for the U.S. Visa Waiver Program (VWP).

Effective Nov. 30, 2023, Israeli citizens and nationals can apply to travel to the U.S. for up to 90 days for business or tourism purposes without first obtaining a U.S. visa. They can apply through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). ESTA registration is generally valid for up to two years or when the traveler’s passport expires, whichever comes first.

Israeli citizens and nationals with a B-1 or B-2 visa can continue using their visa when traveling to the U.S.

U.S. citizens can continue to apply to enter Israel for up to 90 days for business, transit or tourism without first obtaining a visa.
