United Kingdom: Additional Electronic Travel Authorization Guidance

  • The United Kingdom introduced additional information concerning its electronic travel authorization system, including eligibility dates for nationals of Qatar and application costs 

Overview  

The government of the United Kingdom (UK) introduced additional information on its electronic travel authorization (ETA) system on 7 June 2023. These updates include rolling out the launch date for when Qatari nationals can begin applying for ETA and the cost of an ETA application:

  • ETA Cost: £10 per applicant. 
  • From 15 November 2023, you’ll need an ETA if you’re traveling to the UK and are a national of Qatar. Qatari applicants can apply beginning 25 October 2023.  

What are the Changes?  

The government of the UK introduced additional details on the launch of ETA. The government shared that Qatari nationals will be permitted to apply for ETA beginning 25 October 2023.
