United Kingdom New Wage Increases for 2025

Key Points

  • Starting 1 April 2025, the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage will increase, providing significant pay boosts for eligible workers

2025 National Minimum and Living Wage Updates in the United Kingdom

The United Kingdom will increase the national minimum and living wage by 1 April 2025. Those on the National Living Wage will see an annual increase of £1,400, equating to about £25 a week or £100 a month for full-time workers. Full-time workers on the National Minimum Wage could see their pay boosted by £2,500 a year. This increase applies to full-time, part-time and temporary roles, varying based on age and apprenticeship status.

This change aims to support millions of families by moving towards a genuine living wage. Employees do not need to take any action but should check their payslips to ensure they receive an increase. For more information, search ‘check your pay’.
