USCIS Expands MyProgress Platform

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it is expanding an online platform called myProgress to include Form I-765 and Form I-131 submissions.

Overview

The myProgress platform gives applicants personalized updates on wait times through their individual accounts. Applicants will also be notified of their final case decision. USCIS notes that it strives to make wait time updates as accurate as possible, but there are some factors that it cannot account for, such as application processing speed and potential delays. To see their personalized wait times, individuals must have a USCIS online account. They will see certain information for their applications, including:

  • Confirmation that USCIS received the application
  • Biometric services appointment updates
  • Pending case decisions

What are the Changes?

Previously, the myProgress platform allowed individuals to check the status of certain forms, including Form N-400, Application for Naturalization; Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative; and Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. Now, they can also check the status of Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.
