Vietnam: Maximum Period of Stay Extended for 13 Countries

Overview  

The government of Vietnam increased the maximum period of stay to 45 days for temporary residents of 13 different countries. The new stay period applies to citizens from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus. 

What are the Changes?  

The government of Vietnam introduced a 45-day maximum stay period for certain travelers on 15 August 2023. The government noted that the period of stay applies from the first date of entry, regardless of passport type or entry purpose. Previously, the maximum period of stay was set to 15 days.
