Vietnam: New E-Visa and Visa Exemption Policies

Overview  

The government of Vietnam approved changes to its e-visa and visa exemption policies. These changes include: 

• A maximum stay of three months and multiple re-entries will now be permitted under e-visas. Previously, e-visas were issued for a maximum period of 30 days and only permitted single entry into the country.  
• The maximum period of stay for visa-exempt foreign nationals will be extended from 14 days to 45 days for passport holders of the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy Spain, Sweden, Russia, Finland, Denmark, Japan and South Korea.  

These measures will go into effect on 15 August 2023.
